This comes up a lot. Regardless of nationality, age, and gender, anyone can study med in Korea if they meet the criteria. Just so you know, Korea's med school usually takes 6 years (2 years pre-med + 4 years med school). As with any education program, studying med also has its steps. 1st step starts with having a TOPIK exam eligibility for the school you'd like to attend. Most med schools require TOPIK level 4 or 5 for international students. It's better to see the requirements for the school that you're interested in. Then, having strong high school grades specifically in med-related subjects such as biology, chemistry, and physics. It will play a big role when applying to med school. Some schools like SNU (Seoul National University) or Yonsei might have entrance exams for their med schools. You might want to check the details on their website. After you complete the pre-med and med school studies you'll go ahead and take the KMLE exam. Which is the Korean Medical Licensing Examination to practice your degree in Korea. If you're not good or fluent in Korean, I suggest you to study Korean as much as you can especially reading, listening and speaking, as there will be lots of reading included for your text books, lots of classes will take place in Korean and you'll ned write lots of reports in Korean. Although, it's a rewarding job, there are also lots of challenges will come with it. I think that makes it rewarding enough.
