I’ve actually been asked (and answered) this many times, because a lot of my friends were curious about how I managed to do an internship during the semester. An internship during the semester is considered part-time work, and it has to follow the rules set by the school and immigration. So, what are the rules? It depends on whether you have TOPIK and also on the time period. If you don’t have TOPIK level 4, you’re only allowed to work 10 hours per week during the semester. But if you have TOPIK level 4, you can work up to 30 hours per week during the semester, and there's no limit during vacation periods. I did my internship during my last year of university. At that time, I only had two classes a week, so I worked twice a week on the days I didn’t have any classes. Here, I attached the documents needed to apply again: 1️⃣ Copy of the Certificate of Business Registration (사업자등록본 복사본) 2️⃣ Standard Employment Contract (표준근로계약서) 3️⃣ Part-Time Work of Foreign Student Confirmation (외국인유학생 시간제취업확인서) 4️⃣ Copy of your ARC (외국인등록증 복사본) 5️⃣ Copy of your Passport (여권 복사본) 6️⃣ Transcript of the previous semester (성적증명서) 7️⃣ Certificate of Registration (재학증명서) 8️⃣ Your current semester timetable (강의 시각표) 9️⃣ TOPIK Score (한국어능력시험 성적표) 1️⃣0️⃣Student ID Card (학생증 복사본) *) 1,2,3 are the documents from the company So, bring all the documents above to GSC (Global Service Center) on your campus to get the signature and approval from the international student representative for the “Part-Time Work of Foreign Student Confirmation form.” Once you get the approval, you can proceed to the immigration office, and when you get the work permit, you can start your work! From my experience, everything was prepared and done by the company, and i also got the GSC approval just via email, thus i didnt visit the office, it really depends on ur campus and company, so make sure to check everything first! ❗️for more details: https://gsc.korea.ac.kr/usr/international/part_time.do
